2025 Wellness Wednesdays
This year’s annual Wellness Wednesdays program will feature two of participants’ favorite sessions: Hatha Yoga classes with Lisa Alford and Guided Garden Walks with a member of Hills and Dales Estate’s staff.
Lisa L. Alford is a certified yoga and fitness instructor with nineteen years’ experience teaching fitness classes and multiple styles of yoga. She currently teaches yoga at the Inner Path Yoga Studio, Chair Yoga at Vernon Woods, and works privately with clients. Lisa’s goal for her clients and students is for them to achieve in every class the best versions of themselves both physically and mentally. She will be teaching a Hatha-style yoga class, which is a gentle, slow class for beginners designed to align, cleanse, and calm your body, mind, and spirit. A typical class starts with gentle warm-ups that transition into a sequence of yoga poses and ends with a short meditation. Please bring your own mat.
Walking is not only a great way to exercise your body, but also improves your mood and memory! Take guided walks through historic Ferrell Gardens and surrounding grounds while estate staff members explore topics ranging from history to horticulture.
Each class will begin at the Visitor Center at 10am and last one hour. $10 per person per class. All classes are complimentary for Hills and Dales Estate members. Call 706-882-3242 or email info@hillsanddales.org to register.
