Portrait of a New South Citizen

We are excited to announce the recently published, first-ever biography of textile magnate Fuller E. Callaway (1870-1928). The ten chapter book entitled Fuller E. Callaway: Portrait of a New South Citizen chronicles Fuller’s life from childhood, through his tremendous success in the textile business, to his final years. It includes stories about his family and home, business ventures, travels and involvement in local, state and national issues.

Authored by seasoned historians Buckner and Carol Melton, the publication is a collaborative effort between Fuller E. Callaway Foundation, the Georgia Humanities Council and Looking Glass Books. The book is available in the gift shop at the visitor center and is being distributed by John F. Blair publishers.

More information about the book is available at www.fullercallaway.org.
