A Special Lecture

Join Mark C. Callaway, son of Fuller Callaway III, and Brian McDermott, the last surviving crew member of the Morning Star for a special lecture at Hills & Dales. In 1998, Brian and his family revisited the site of the wreckage at Providencia Island off the east coast of Nicaragua. During his trip Brian learned that the loss of the Morning Star not only left a lasting impact on the yacht’s crew, but also on the island where she now rests. Visitors will enjoy viewing artifacts from the Morning Star, including race trophies and a very special goblet.
